Environmental Monitoring-Air Quality Monitoring

Environmental Monitoring-Air Quality Monitoring

Artemis Engineering has more than ten years collaboration with the Atmospheric Chemistry and Innovative Technology Laboratory (AirTechLab) of NCSR “Demokritos” in the field of Air Quality measurements using our aircraft, UAV’s and drones. We offer several advantages over traditional ground-based monitoring stations, including the ability to collect data from multiple locations simultaneously, cover large areas quickly, and access hard-to-reach or hazardous areas.

Some key points of air quality assessment using drones and aircraft are:

ICARUS

ICARUS (Integrated Climate forcing and Air pollution Reduction in Urban Systems) was a European research and innovation project active from May 2016 to October 2020. The project applied integrated tools and strategies for urban impact assessment in support of air quality and climate change governance in EU Member States leading to the design and implementation of appropriate abatement strategies to Artemis Engineering performed aerial measurements in order to monitor air pollutants over European cities and also took part in the development of the ICARUS Decision Support System (DSS) through GIS technologies, an essential key-tool for providing strategies and disseminating air quality information to European Organizations and citizens.mprove the air quality and reduce the carbon footprint in European cities.

TREEADS

Artemis Engineering in collaboration with NCSR DEMOKRITOS participated in Treeads Project collecting air samples and performing forest mapping using our specially configured light manned aircraft.
